Well. "clever.." I don' thing George Stant invented the pressure-regulating rad cap. He started-off making parts for pianos!

But the company he founded made a LOT of a simple and effective metal rad-cap design that "JFW".... and Stant DID patent the safety-lever pressure-release version.

The plastic toy JLR use instead is a sore fragile waste of polymer by comparison. Relief/regulator mechanism can fail or clog. Gasket can perish in a New York Minute.

Fragile as the JLR AJ V8's are w/r cooling failures, it could be money well invested to adapt - or TiG up from sheet stock - an Aluminium header tank and fit a proper Stant cap that holds pressure to spec and leaketh not.

Hi Steve,

yes, I'd say that you should jack her up, at least until it is level.

Best regards,

Thomas

Default Hip hip hooray!! She sounds great!!

Used the jack that came with car for the first time to jack her up after years of casting dispersions upon it. Considering its size & weight it is actually quite good. It was the only thing that I could fit under...
As one of you fine fellows had suggested, she rattled for about 30 seconds as the SC circulated oil. Really looking forward to driving her about without the bumper cover & lights, but, unfortunately, have a dinner party. My wife is really looking forward to it or I would feign illness. More later. Thank everyone so much!!!

Thanks for your help & encouragement, Clubairth1!

I was intimidated most by making sure that the hoses all hooked to the right place. What a pleasant surprise to discover that they know exactly where to go all by themselves!

Smile YEE HAW! She Runs Like A Scalded Dawg!!

Just took her out of the garage for the first time in 5 months!! Vehicle too low has vanished! Not a drip on the garage floor - oil or H2O!!
Could that unknown plug have anything to do with the park brake? Getting a "Park Brake Fault" & Apply Park Break"

If you had battery disconnected, Car will ask you re-calibrate parking break upon engine start. Apply foot break, apply parking break, You all set! Restart car. I do this procedure every time battery gets disconnected
