Headlight problem
Hoping someone can help me I have a 2003 xj8 4.2 the nearside headlight and side light don't work but mainbeam does I have changed the bulbs and checked the fuses has anyone else had this problem

If you have changed the bulbs, and still not working, I'd say it sounds like a wiring fault, maybe just a loose connection, try wiggling the wires at the back of the light, or try unplugging the light, clean the connection and plug if back in, see if that helps.
In addition to region/country, you probably need to indicate whether you are dealing with halogen, HID, or Xenon lights - as all that varies by region/country too. You could have two burned bulbs, bad wiring/ground points, blown fuse, and if HID, a bad ballast. There is a major ground point right behind the right (NA passenger side) headlight (under the front plastic cover). That ground point can become corroded and affect headlights, among a number of other things.
If neither lamp in the unit works then I'd say the obvious thing to suspect first is the earth (ground) connection. Earths are a common problem on the X350.
