I have seen many posts about sagging headliners but nothing about this particular issue. The headliner on the sides of both front seats is loose from beneath the plastic/rubber door surround directly below the hand grips. Otherwise the headliner is OK. This is true in my 06 XJ8L and 05 XJ8 VDP - so it must be a recurring problem. It is directly below the hand hold and is about 5 inches in length. There are no indications of damages or even dirt. There have been almost no passengers or use of either hand hold.

I have no idea how the headliner is supposed to be retained at the side by the head liner - clips, glue ??? Can anyone help?
