Heater issues
Hi everyone
My Jag XJ 2004 SE 3.0 V6 has cold air coming out of the driver side vents but passenger side is only just warm , car temp gauge runs at normal but does seem to get up to full temp very quick, anyone know what I should look at to solve this issue .
Cheers
Andy.

Valve by the heater core that controls the coolant flow tends to plug up.
Had to replace one on an S Type with a six cylinder, it took a few hours.
Not all that bad a job, worst of it is the coolant drain, fill, then putting covers etc back on.

A 2004 xj does not use the heater control valves like a stype. You need a new heater core. Its plugged i posted pics of mine when i replaced it last year and that was after a few flushes when i bought the car and that was a failure because she never flushed the cooling system.
My mistake, thought the sixes had the all had the same set up.
Plugged at the same place though, wonder if they would plug if the coolant was changed every three to five years???????
