Default Help.... engine issue after using new garage

Hi all, any and all help appreciated on this one. My jaguar xj x350 4.2 naturally aspirated engine has done 110,000 miles and is a 2006 plate. I used to go to an independent jag mechanic but he closed due to ill health. I went to a new independent jag garage, surrey jag centre as I wanted to have the spark plugs, spark plug seals, coil packs and cam cover gaskets replaced and air con fixed. They fixed the air con, I think. But today a couple of days after collecting car from the garage I had the eml light come on, I scanned it and had P0174 bank 2, P0171 bank 1, and P0075 bank 1 codes, on looking at the engine as you stand in front of the car looking in at the engine on the right bank as you look at it itblooks like the cam cover gasket has been pinched/broken, there is about an inch and a half of gasket sticking out which the end of has burnt on the hot metal below giving off a burnt rubber smell and smoke, oil is now also leaking in this area with drips down to the floor once parked (no engine undertray) would a leaky cam cover like this cause these fault codes and eml and should I be worried about any other part of the work carried out other than the broken new gasket? Looking for advice before I call to complain on Monday morning. Also since they had the car suddenly today P26210 air suspension code is coming up, I did ask if they would recalibrate the air suspension but when they looked at it they said they wouldn't as the 2 front shocks I put on are aftermarket ones and I'd need to pay around £1800 to put ones they recommend in. All help and advice be greatly appreciated

Mark

Looks like vac leak codes, so that damaged gasket is probably the problem,

Thanks for the reply, we'll thats a bit more reassuring though I don't know what the garage will say in response, fingers crossed they'll put it all right but doesn't fill me with confidence that they could do the gasket wrong to start with and not notice it as the bit of rubber gasket hanging down was burning against hot metal of the engine and smoking as it burned. Fingers crossed for Monday morning when I all them

Might cut your losses, & take it somewhere else.
Or better yet, fix it yourself.

I'm not overly mechanical so thought this would be a quick easy job for a garage and a their independent jag garage only doing jags, when I dropped it off they had everything from a 6os jag in the workshop to an Xjs to another xj and a couple of xf's so thought they'd know what they were doing, now I'm not so sure

If the badly fitted gasket is plainly obvious then take the car back and ask why they have released the car in this condition. Unfortunately, where shops employ staff, they can sometimes take somebody on who is useless, and only customer complaints tell them. A quick look on the internet doesn't show anything bad coming up for them, indeed it is all complimentary and they have been around for decades.
I'd also find out what the front air springs are that they claim are no good. The originals were Bilsteins.

many thanks for your reply, indeed I hope that is the case as far as staff go as I was looking at them replacing the engine mounts next month, the shocks on the front of the car dare I say it are not bilsteins but are from eurocarparts.
