MY 00 XJR is now throwing P0174 generic code with detail ' system too lean bank 2'. I reset it with my scanner and it keeps coming back and the dash also reflects restricted performance. Does anyone have any pointers on what might be causing this so I can get ride of this irritating code?

Typical stuff...

Leak in the side 2 exhaust.
Injector clogged or with a bad connection bank 2.
Leak in the intake manifold on the bank 2 side.

If it eventually starts showing a P173, then it is something that affects both banks, so you can throw in..

Vacuum leak.
MAF dirty or bad.
leak in the intake tract.
PCV valve bad.

Sometimes a hose gets pulled and it's a small enough leak that it only shows one bank. If anyone has worked on the engine recently, check that area for something that got left off.
