I somehow have been hit by a rock or blunt object and it penetrated the lens cover and cracked the metal housing around the bulb on my Passenger Hi beam. Any idea where I can find the lens cover and housing besides a dealer? I'm also looking for a book for a 2004 XJ8 series so I can see how to get to some of these things and can't find a book anywhere. Any thoughts? I have an owners manual, but need something with drawings or schematics. Many thanks!!

You can download the manual for free in the how to sticky.

eBay will be your best bet for lowest cost replacement unless you know of a local import vehicle junkyard

Hi Kim,

I'm sorry to hear about your damaged headlamp. Jaguar does not offer the lens as a separate part, so your best bet might be a good salvaged unit. eBay is one place to search since many salvage yards now offer parts there.

Regarding the X350 Workshop Manual, you can download it for free from this forum in six sections here:

You can download the 2004 XJ Electrical Guide here:

http://www.jagrepair.com/images/Elec...al%20Guide.pdf

Those will get you started, but there are plenty of additional references available from this forum:
