The hood latch is broken at the latch end of the device I have removed the wheel and the inner lining. But with all the piping and heat exchangers in there, I see no way to acces the latch.
any suggestions? I don't think it is even possible to get the front bumper off without the hood open????

Get under the car undo the platic covers carefully , the first one behind the fontlip has another plastic construction above it to lead the air to the coolers . Take that one out then you will be able to see and reach the locksystem right and left as well as the latch system

 

Just undid and fixed the plastic covers by glueing and exchanged all the screws .While doing that I had a closer look at those from underneath and thaught of answering your post

I was able to access the hood latch from underneath after removing the front spoiler and plastic cover.
I slid a 2'0'' or so piece of flat steel up there and was able to op-en the latches by tapping the piece of steel with a hammer...what a pain in the hiney!
