Hello Jagsters!

I have tried to find an ideal spot to place my phone (a Samsung Note 2) and normally I would put it inside the ashtray/lighter compartment under the center dash. It's a perfect fit but it takes my eyes off the road to look down at it.

Then, it occurred to me that the sat nav screen is also a perfect-size real estate which I rarely use for nav due to its slowness and constant freezing-up. Would be nice to find a way to securely mount/unmount the phone (or a portable GPS unit) to the curved glass screen.

I am thinking small pieces of velcro on the screen and the phone case. Anyone got other bright ideas??

I installed a Kuda mount, as seen here:

They match the leather of your car. Mine affixes to a hard drive magnet I put on there to hold the phone (there's a metal plate in my phone case).

 

Can you mount it higher up on the dash? Right now I just put it inside the ashtray cubbyhole next to the mount in your photo, but I want higher.

I also used a Kuda mount initially. Now that I have the PSE installed, the phone usually stays in my pocket.
