Default How do you remove the console with rear a/c controls in the Vanden plas 2005

Hello Everyone:
Has anyone removed the console on a 2004-2007 vanden plas WITH the rear seat control for the A/C? This is not like the regular console. It has a A/C evaporator coil inside the console. WTF

Help

Thanks so much. This really helps. Is the arm rest hinge attached to the ac unit?

No. Attached to the console itself. There's kind of a support structure in there.

Thanks YB:
Do you have to charge the console unit with freon or R22 or 410a? Or does it charge from the main ac unit?

Sorry. No idea. Someone else will probably know. I imagine it's a separate system though. I could ABSOLUTELY be wrong about that.

The car only has one AC compressor so the refrigerant has to be shared across multiple evaporators. My only explanation is that rear AC unit exists is to have some control system to regulate refrigerant flow to the rear evaporator to control the temperature for rear passengers. Thus the need for an additional evaporator. Got any pics that you can share?

Thanks so much to everyone. I took off the console in record time. I had to fix the arm rest and could not do it with the console in the car.
