Question How to remove trim above the doors

I am replacing the chrome trim on the roof above the doors -this runs from front fender to the rear fender. My trim had been scratched by previous owner - properly big rings and holding on to the roof when getting in and out of the car.
I would appreciate if a Tech or someone that has replaced this trim/molding could explain how this is removed? When I lift up the rubber seal towards the roof surface I can see some plastic clips - can these be pulled out and hereby release the trim? - maybe it will be more clear when I get the new trim/molding.
Thank you in advance
Martin

Towards the end of the first post you will find links to download the service manuals, in there you will find the instructions you seek.

Thanks jahummer.
These service manuals could/will be sooo useful - never knew they were there -thanks.
Unfortunately it does not appear like the manuals describe anything about the moulding/trim on the roof?? - door and window trim is described but not the chrome roof trim (gutter). My wife says frequently that I am blind but I looked through the body and paint part multiple time with no luck??

Got the trim - damn it came without the clips - fortunately the local dealer has the clips. The clips are made to break as you are breaking the trim loose so these should be replaced with the trim - no way you cannot break the clips so make sure you have the clips before you take off the trim. This is something everybody can do - Gaudin jag in las vegas had the trim for 260 - not cheap but these pieces never are - local dealer wanted 390.

I have pretty much the same problem but in my case it is the rear door trim moulding, not the long one which comes from the front on the roof, see attached pic. This part is in really bad shape, as I figured out it is not chromed, it is anodized aluminum.

How can I disassamble this part? There is no description in the workshop manual.

Regards,

Roland
