Ignition Coils smell like burnt plastic?

Ignition Coils smell like burnt plastic?
I replaced my spark plugs within the past week and when I pulled the ignition coils I noticed that smelled like burning plastic. I can't say that I noticed the smell before, so is that normal or are my coils on their way out?
