Default Indigo Blue vs Pacific Blue

So I've decided it's time to buy my first Jaguar, and I'm just starting to research.

First basic question: how does the '06-'07 Indigo Blue compare to the '04-'05 Pacific Blue? I've only been able to see the latter in person so far.

Have you seen them in person? Can you give me any verbal comments/comparison? Is Indigo an almost-black blue like BMW's Monaco and Imperial?

No offense, but since this Pacific photo is inaccurate (way oversaturated) I wonder how accurate the Indigo one is.

I thought mine was indigo, but it looks more like pacific. depending on colour rendering on my PC.

anyone know the paint colour codes? I suppose they're embedded in the VIN.

Paint codes aren't in the VIN. They are 3-letter codes and are shown on the manufacturer's sticker on the driver's door pillar.

Indigo Blue vs Pacific Blue-manufacturer-sticker-uk-edited.jpg

This is my UK manufacturer's sticker but the US ones are similar.

The paint colour codes you're considering are:

Indigo Blue = JJX
Pacific Blue = JHM

Well, apologies to Maraud for my previous post, I feel stupid. I just checked the codes and the color I thought was Pacific Blue / the color I want was actually Slate.

Pacific sounds great though, I need to find one!

Probably VERY stale info by now, but for Donkey's Years 'mericans bought more blue than most other colours. And blue cars had higher accident rates (white and yellow much lower ones) than their percentage of the gene-pool justified.

Slate/Mica here. No accident-risk benefit - probably a negative, actually.

But it has a quiet elegance to it .. and seems to slither right under the 'radar' of unwanted attention. Sometimes literally so.. Note the name in my 'garage'.

DAMHIKT, but I am lovin' the 'sleeper' aspect.

I had to Google "Donkey's Years" AND "damhikt," I don't know if that makes me too old or too young.

One of each. Tends toward 'old' only if you recognize the line below:

Indigo is such a nice color on the Jag. Pacific makes it to elegant!

And btw Lee, Google is really your best friend. You could have see it for yourself in the first place. ^^

Graham's pic is from a X100. The sticker on the X350s is on the driver side (lhd) "A" pillar jamb (where the hinges are). Took me a while to find it.

Found my sticker

On my X350 the sticker is on the passengers (LHS) hinge pillar.

Found it while I was cleanining and lubing the hinges today.

Edited: the colour code was JHM
So pacific. It is quite a deep blue and to my etye looks darker than the photos above.
