Interior lighting problems

Default Interior lighting problems

Recently lost all of the illuminating lighting on interior buttons and switches and the window switches would not work. Battery had some weak cells so replaced this and everything began working again. However, now I keep blowing the fuse the regulates the lighting for the interior buttons and switches on the center console, door window switches, trip computer panel, etc.

Any ideas?

You obviously have a short in the system. Unfortunately, you will have to track it down using the wiring diagram. There are a number of modules and switches that need to be checked. You can find the diagram by going to Alldata.com and getting a subscription that allows you to use the data. I suggest looking at wires in harnesses that move during car use such as harnesses that go from the door to the body. I would open up the drivers door harness first.
