I went with the Kernel MR6K-38 which is basically the same model. I bought from Redline as Greg's was a PIA to deal with delivery. (I have no affiliation with any of these companies.)

I measured the lifting points to ensure this would work with the SV8. I downloaded the owner manual in advance.

These bad boys weigh 1300 pounds. Redline arranged for local delivery and they contacted me and came with a fork lift, and layed it down in my garage. Greg's wouldn't lift a finger to help with local delivery. So think about the logistics of buying this and know what you're getting into ahead of time. My chat with Redline set me up with local delivery and when I called them and told them they were delivering to a townhouse, they chuckled and said no problem.

I also have the Truck/ SUV adapters, though the wife's car is still under warranty so I haven't have to use it.

77" ramp length and comes with huge lifting blocks that lay between the lift and the underside of the car. Each block is about 8" wide x 12" long and about 1 1/2" thick hard rubber. My SV8 cleared it and, once on the lift, I lifted the car a few inches and tried rocking it and everything I could do to move it. Solid, solid lift. No fear being under it. I have the XK150 now which is much lighter and smaller.

Best auto maintenance purchase I've made in years. It's definitely safe and far safer than jack stands.

FYI, easily allows for trans pan removal and under engine access.

The info on the lift that I have read only warns of lifting points further than 6" from the outside. The truck bars are for that reason, as there frames are far more inboard. The way the SV8 sets on the lift is well within the guidelines.
I was also sort of put off by the delivery issues, and I have access to a Mofit fort lift.

You all seem to take care of lifting points close to the center lines of the ramps.
My concern deals more with the fact that LWBs are indeed long cars and have lifting points on the moving ends of the ramps, and even on the far ends meaning substantial leverage stresses.
Isn't that an issue?

Don't know about the distribution bars as I am the only person in the South that doesn't have a truck! The ramps have most of the lifting metal on the outside edges, hence the need for bars if you are lifting something in their red shaded area. Most cars are going to land on the outside areas when lifting, unless you have a Prius!
