Default Locking lug nuts

One of the strong points of my 05 XJR is the conditition of the OEM double 5 spoke wheels. They are perfect for the car and really set it off.

It occurs to me that I should have some locking lug nuts for this set-up. There are some el stupidoes around Orlando who steel stuff even if they have no idea how to fence it--- because it's bright and shiny I guess. I saw a set of locks in my dealers show case that fits the bill nicely, but given the price, he should have them in his safe. The local AutoZone has a selection of cheep looking crap- none of which is recommended for 05 Jags.

Doe's anybody have a "very specific" recommendation on some wheel locks and where to source them. The stuff I'm finding on line is not keyed to exact cars but rather lug nut/bolt sizes which confuses me and makes my head hurt.

I have a set of real Jag wheel locks that I don't need anymore. They are like new. Were on my 07 S-Type and briefly on my 05 VDP.

You can have them for half of whatever the dealer wants for a new set - plus shipping.

PM me if you want them.

I would suggest that you make best efforts to buy Jag wheel locks. While trying to resolve a vibration problem in my car I came across an interesting article regarding wheel balance and vibration. It was mentioned that in some cases of trying to find a vibration and after many wheel balances and the other attempts to find the problem, it was discovered that aftermarket wheel locks, which had different wieght from the lug nuts was causing the problem. Didn't sound right to me at first but after some thought might have some merit. There were another suggestion and I would be happy to post a link to the article if anyone is interested.

I bought a set on the UK EBAY site for 24GBP a couple of weeks ago to keep my 20" wheels safe.

They were pretty cheap I thought but there are a few sets on there at the moment for 42GBP.
