Default Looking to find this vacuum part, for Secondary Air Injection

2007 XJ8, and I have the very frequently encountered broken vacuum lines in the Secondary Air Injection system. I need C2C22716, but I also need the piece that C2C77216 connects to at the throttle body, with the double-tap connector, one of which couple to C2C77216 and the other connects to a solenoid on the top of the engine, short hose (but broken in two places.)

Here's the full hose set:

Here's a closeup of the end at the throttle body:

Here, I've Photoshopped C2C22716 out, leaving the piece I need, and I can't find this anywhere, on any parts list I can dig up.

Does anyone have a part number for this? I suppose if I can get the remains of the old tubing out of the rubber ends, I can get some couplers and plain old vacuum hose and rig something up, but I can't believe how difficult it's been to locate this part.

Thanks, but I know about C2C22716, and even referenced it in my post and the second image. What I'm asking about is the smaller piece, in the last photo. Not finding that anywhere. That's not part of C2C22716, but C2C22716 attaches to it, and it, in turn, attaches to the throttle body.

@wfooshee trying to join two separate pieces will cost you more in money and labor. I would go for complete part replacement. That what I would do.

See, what you're not grasping, I don't think, is that the smaller part, with the two-hose nipple, is NOT part of C2C22716. It's a separate piece. Your 2004 does not have secondary air injection, I don't think, so even if you went out and looked, you're not going to find these hoses on your car. Secondary Air Injection was added for the 2006 model run, from what I've been able to gather.

Every picture I've ever seen of C2C22716 stops at the part I labeled in my second picture as "Top end of C2C22716." I need the section in my third picture, which is not in anything I've ever seen about C2C22716, nor in any parts diagram I've been able to find. That piece connects to the throttle body for vacuum, with two hard hoses coming out. One goes to a boot with a white plastic coupler in it, and that coupler is where C21C22716 connects for vacuum. There are no part numbers stamped on it anywhere, nor is there a part number flag like the bigger piece of hosepipe has.

In the labeled picture in the first post of this thread, the connector above the check valve is labeled as connecting to the throttle body vacuum coupler. That coupler is in the boot on the short line of that part in my 3rd picture. C2C22716 does not connect to the throttle body, it connects to the coupler on that small two-hoses part.

The other hose (the one broken at two places in my third image in the first post) goes over to a solenoid on the right side of the intake manifold, underneath the PCV hose, which has no connection from C2C22716.

I've got a C2C22716 on the way, but that will not complete the Secondary Air vacuum connection. I have to have that smaller piece, or find some way to rig something up for it.

Hi wfooshee,

Is this close to what you are looking for?
It's for a 2004, but maybe the same, but like you have said it is a absolute bugger to find any reference to that hose.

THANK YOU!!!! Those last two are it. parts geek showed one in stock, and that on-hand is now zero! Thanks to me.

(Changing the Parts Geek vehicle selection from 2004 to 2007 still showed the part.)

Partsgeek showed one in stock when I placed my order, then sent me an email cancelling my order as out of stock. I can't see how to get jaguarlandroverclassics to ship to the US. I found one other vendor by Googling the part number W0133-2308414 that partsgeek used, but they also have no stock.

The side for the coupler to C2C22716 is intact, the other tube is broken. The rubber ends are good, I guess I will try to extract the broken plastic hoses, install some small couplers, and just use ordinary vacuum hose to get to that solenoid on the fuel rail.

With the Jaguar part number, seems the dealer should be able to order the part for you.

I could not find replacement lines for mine (2008 XJ8), so I rebuilt it from scratch, using new tubing and connectors. Only took an hour or so. Cost about $20 in parts and I don’t have to worry about that brittle-*** British plastic.

Nice work!!!
Always enjoy repairing things, over replacing with new, when possible.
Especially if its improved, by using better materials.

I have no Jaguar dealer within a hundred miles, and none of the dealers with an online parts-shop presence show it as available. Building it with a couple of couplers and a short hose shouldn't be too difficult.

Just posting what I did, for someone's future reference. I hate getting into one of these threads, reading it and seeing that it's exactly the issue I had, but no fix or solution was ever posted. I don't wanna be that guy!

I used a drill bit to remove the broken stubs of the plastic pipe from the rubber nipples, put in vacuum couplers, then used ordinary vacuum hose to connect the source to the solenoid. you can see my new white couplers in this picture, and just above my new hose you can see where the C2C22716 replacement piece is attached, and you can follow both to the double nipple on the throttle body.

I have the same broken secondary air injection broken line issues.. but I decided "Who cares?"

Isn't this just an emissions issue that is active for short periods in startup? My car shows no difference in running

Pretty much just at startup, but those broken lines represent a vacuum leak. Not a really big one, as small as the pipes are, but it is a vacuum leak.
