Default master keys with lock pad locked in trunk

I push the truk release button it beeps an say valet mode I use spare key in trunk lock still wont open push button on the trunk still dont wrk any other options u can help me wit

Sorry it happened guy! On my XJ8 this exact incident happened and I had to go to the dealer and had them to cut a key just to open the trunk/doors vs getting it programmed etc...

Contact your insurance company of you haven't gotten a key replaced/lost covered dependent on the policy they will cover the cost of replacement of one key. Even some agents do not know they cover it.. it's the agreement the insurance company and auto manufacturers made since it was the insurance companies request to have a harder key to copy for security...(or something similar) just had a key made like that.

Also, if they say that it's not covered have them double check. I was informed by the locksmith about this and a good friend of mine educated me. And it was certainly true.
