Hi All,

Would someone do me a favor a snap a picture of their original factory overhead console and microphone for XJ Vanden Plas...mine is an 04? From what I have been able to gather there were different configurations for S, X, XJ etc... Some are in the overhead console some are outside.

As I am looking to begin the upgrade process to phone/bt/and jaguar voice I need to see what I am supposed to have so that it stays looking factory. A quick photo would help alot here. With all the sensors around the car it gets a bit confusing because I have been looking at microphones on ebay and they look like the sensors.

I would really appreciate it. Also can someone tell me what this amber light is on the overhead console just behind the 3 slotted square vent. I thought that actually was where the mic was but then I thought it was something to do with the parking sensors. It is on all of the time.

Here you go.....



The mic is separate from the console.

The little light is kind of cool...... It is there to gently illuminate the center console from above at night. Jaguars first foray into indirect lighting.

PS...is that a velvet headliner? Very nice!

 

That is the suede/alcantra headliner that was standard in 06 Super V8 Portfolio.
