runs no different, no bumpy idle or anything. The intake does seem very cheap though

A co-worker had the intake on his S-Type R and I thought it looked cheap. Wish K&N did their Typhoon for the Jag.

If your planning to leave it on. I would fashion a duct to guide cold air, from outside the engine compartment, onto the filter. Not sure where you live, but when it gets hot out your car is not going to like that intake. Any hp picked up by increased air flow will be canceled out by the rise in temperature of the air being sucked in. Colder air is much denser, denser air is better for performance.

I had the Mina exhaust and intake on my 04 XJ8 and it caused problems. Kept getting a lean error and reduced performance. Kept the exhaust and went back to the OEM intake and all is well now(2 years).

http://www.itgfilters.net

ITG may have a drop in filter that will give better performance than the stock paper filter. Even the K&N filter should do more.

Just a caution using the oiled filters. The Jag MAFS is so sensitive that any residue on it will cause issues!!
