Hi Thomas
I have changed my previous post.

Please read it again

Now I think it is correct
Cheers
Bob

NB I need to check the id of the lower control arm bush on my car

in case I have a 12 mm bolt in a 15 mm id lower control arm ! and that is what the

grommet was designed to overcome -seems unlikely but I need to check it

Hi Bob,

I should still have the lower control arms, as well, so I can check all parts that are not in the car this evening based on your corrected text. For how it looks with the parts that are in the car, I can only do it during the weekend.

Best regards,

Thomas

Hi Bob,

sorry about the delay, I could only take the pictures today.

Here's the pictures of one of the old lower control arms. They are the originals from 2003.

The hole for the bolt fixing the strut is about 14mm.

Now, the only thing that remains open is the pictures and measurements of the bolt and new struts. I will try to do it next weekend.

Best regards,

Thomas

That's quite a lot of difference since the o d of my bolt is 12 mm
That could be the source of the noise without the grommet on the other end of the bolt.
Many thanks for your efforts.

Bob

Hi Bob,

my apologies for being incommunicado for such a long time, but I had to undertake some unexpected business trips and was away on the weekends, as well.

Also, unfortunately I will not be able to do anything on the Jag for at least the next 4 weeks. All the work I do on my cars is purely a hobby.

I hope that it does not inconvenience you too much.

Thanks for your understanding and best regards,

Thomas
