Default Steering Column

I bought a 2004 xj8 and want it to be as authentic as possible. I have figured out how to convert the miles to kilometers and display the temperature in degrees Celsius. I've taken to calling the hood the bonnet and the trunk the boot (as displayed). However, the dang steering wheel is on the wrong side.

Has anyone successfully moved the steering column from the left to the right side? Are there anything other considerations or "gotchas"?

Um, every British car I have ever owned has displayed mph, not kilometers...
Do the British use Celsius?
As far as the steering wheel being on the wrong side, I have done some work on old cars, but I promise you it was not worth it. I can't even imagine doing it on a car as complex as the x350...
But if you do it I want to hear all about it!

I would be interesting in hearing how you were able to convert the miles to kilometers and display the temperature in degrees Celsius.

Moving of the steering column was intended as a joke.

However, miles can be changed to kilometers by pushing the button to the left of the steering column where the trunk release, gas tank release, trip a/b buttons are. There's one to change between miles and kilometers.

I don't have the nav unit and there is a button next to the a/c display to toggle between F and C.

There is only one right side which makes the left side the wrong side!!!

Cheers

The English use miles, not kilometers.

Other considerations would be a tax disk and a proper number plate. Also, a 'GB' sticker on the boot.

I was also thinking Union Jack painted on the bonnet a la Austin Powers.
