Floor mats for winter climates?

Winter mats, lambswool and snow don't mix. I also put a thin piece of color matched carpet on the left side of the drivers floor where your left foot sets. the floor mats do not protect that area like the older Jags that had a rubber pad.
My car came with 2 trunk liners.
1 Plastic molded (now removed)
1 Heavy rubber/carpet trunk floor liner.
I dont know if you can still get the rubber/carpet liner, but I love it. This I believe was promoted as a breif case holder as well. It has vecro straps, which I tuck under it.
And above all, a BT streaming unit.
