Unhappy My 04 xj8 brake system is not working, Please help!!!

I just replace my font and rear brake pad on my jaguar 2004 xj8. Re-installed all the pads and parts, pump air out of the brake line just incase there is any. I start the key and step on my brake paddle, and there is no pressure at all. Tried to pump the brake paddle for a while using my feet, still not thing happen, check brake fluid, it is full to max. Is any out there know what happen to my brake system? please help. Thank you in advance.

pump air out of the brake line just in case there is any.
From what I can see from your post, your troubles arise from the above action. Normally, replacing pads, (and also discs), does not involve any dismantling of the brake calipers and hydraulic lines.

Why did you feel a need to bleed the hydraulic system ? You have done something wrong or appear to have done whilst bleeding the system.

Others may post with more detailed knowledge but from your symptoms you seem to have introduced air rather than removed it. Of course you don't say whether you had an existing brake fault. Were the pads worn-out or did you replace them for another reason ?

Could it be that you have left a brake bleed nipple open? Look for a wet caliper. It doesn't take much to produce the symptom you describe.

Help us by telling us the step by step procedure you used. Normally, your problem is a result of air in the system. The reason I ask is that changing pads does not require bleeding.
