I found it strangely difficult to locate plain nylon straps like you might find on a bag or camera pouch.

go on fleabay and look for "black nylon watchstrap"

UK military watches have welded strap bars, not spring links, so the watchstrap is in one piece and goes behind the watch itself, that's the sort I got

The straps also come in NATO colours or stripes like regimental stable belts. Plain black was cheapest and mine were from Hong Kong. I have not yet got into the "Jag Owners mut pay top dollar" mindset.

I made the holes with a 4mm drill and sealed the frayed threads with a match.

I bought my straps when welsh had them on sale, for about half price They have little jaguar emblems on them and all, woohoo!
