Default nav dvd

I have a 2006 xj8l - my car does not allow the navigation system to be used while the car is in motion.
I was told to upgrade to a newer nav-dvd(2007-2009) as this "lock-out" function no longer exists on
these newer dvd's -
first question: Is this true??
second question: if true, does anyone know where can I purchase one of these
newer-dvd's, otherthan directlyfromJaguar, where they are
very expensive. Thanks - to all.

I wonder isn't it ilegal for Navteq to charge that much for the maps update, they practically have a monopoly on factory installed nav systems and this is practically price fixing.

I have a 2007 DVD in my 05...this version doesn't work in motion. Has anyone tried the December 2008 update and does this actually work?

I have the 2009 DVD and still can't use the system while in motion other than set 1 of 5 previous destination set points or previous start point.

So what are we missing? Is there some secret hack to allow this feature?
