Nav Upgrade
I'm about to order a new Touch Screen controller to replace the one I'm currently using
So I get the order correct I need to know the pitch of the ribbon cable that connects the touch panel to the head unit PCB.
Does anyone have the specs or a pic of the cable.
The original module I have installed was fitted by an installer so I don’t have the info without pulling apart the unit to find out. The installer ordered more than one module with different cables so he does not know which one either without doing the same thing.
I'm trying to avoid pulling apart the head unit an extra time to find out
Here is link to what the cables look like that I’m after

For those interested this is the unit I have installed
Remote touch for Android - customGadz
OEM Touchscreen Switcher Add-On - customGadz
What its does is allow an Android or Iphone to be controlled via the touch screen
This has 2 Modules the controller and the switcher. There is a video of the system in action on the product page above.
The Switcher redirects the touch screen to the controller
The Phone Video out is connected to the RGB interface
The Phone Audio out is connected to the ACM interface
The Touch control is connected to the Phone Via bluetooth
When the Phone is active the whole screen is active on the OEM screen including the touch control
I'm running Music and Nav (igo Primo) via the Android.
My next step is to Add a a new nav setup that uses WinMobile 6, again with Igo Primo
As a result I need to re-interface the touch screen, not sure if im keeping the android or replacing altogether yet
PS this is the nav computer I’m fitting next
