Default Navigation DVD for 2006 Super V8

I know this question has been asked many times and I expect (and deserve) all the grief that I get for any waste of time. But, all I can find are old answers to old questions on the subject with now expired links.

I just got a great 2006 Super V8. All is wonderful but it has the original navigation DVD from 2006.

Anyone know a source for a reasonably priced new (or newer) nav dvd for this car? I am fining the one I have is missing a lot of streets in my area (Los Angeles).

Many thanks for any guidance and my apologies for asking a question that may have already been addressed (and I am too dumb to find!).

2012 is the last year available for the x350 I believe.

They are available on Ebay. in the $70/-80$ range,.

Many nave been able to get one for around $50 in the past as I was. Not sure whether that is possible now.

Shame on you! Just kidding.

Other than Ebay, this is the only place I am aware of:

2012 JAGUAR - NORTH AMERICA MAP DVD 464110-9250 1X43-10E898-BK

$50

Good Luck!

Default One more question

Looks like www.navdvd.com is the place to go.

One question: Can I just take out the old one and pop in the new one or do I have to do something special (turn around twice, pat my head, pray to the Jag gods)??

Thanks!

Turning around twice always helps.

When you pop the new disc it would install new firmware on the nav system make sure your battery is charged and don't turn the car off.

So, I should keep the car running when I put in the new disc? Thanks.

UPDATE: I did get the DVD from NavDVDs.com - 2017 Navigation DVD Map Update for BMW, Ford, Toyota, Lexus, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Infiniti, GM, & More - NavDVDs.com - 2017 Navigation DVD Map Update for BMW, Ford, Toyota, Lexus, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Infiniti, GM, & Mor. I put it in the Nav unit and it instantly went to work updating the software/firmware. It only took about three minutes and everything works perfectly.

I have not driven very far, so can't say much about the newer maps, but I can report that it runs fast (no pausing or jerking and it seems faster than the original disc that came with the car (copyright 2004). I also notice that the new one has a "night mode". At night the display changes to a black background. Obviously, something did change.

Is this an original disc or a copy? That I can't say. It looks exactly like one from Jaguar (I compared it to one from a friend) but a LOT cheaper ($30 vs $200).

Overall, I am very happy with it. Sure, I wish it was a 2017 version instead of 2012 and I wish it was a higher resolution (my $40 Magellan is far superior). But, it works as good as or (maybe) better than the one I had and is more up-to-date.

My next project will be to investigate how to upgrade the system to access a computer, USB, TV, backup camera, etc. I have seen some threads on this and apparently others have done some amazing mods. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Meanwhile, I send my thanks to Muleears and Jackra_1 for their kind help. You guys are the best.

Thank you!!

Good to see they have come down to $29.99 or about $40 with shipping charges. It is tempting, although my 08-09 version has worked well for us so far. Wonder it they will be further discounted in the future, or if there will ever be a newer version for our cars.
