Default Navigation issue.

My 05 Super V/8 has a navigation system with a mind all its own. I have a factory 2010 disc in it if that matters? I select a city then a street then a house number. I push the button choosing destination and it wants me to go 800 miles to get there? Today I selected a city and address 40 miles from me and after a rather long calculation, said to go the opposite direction for 865 miles? This is a recent development. I've driven to Palm Springs, 450 miles away, and it was accurate with the same navi. disc 2 months ago. Also sometimes it says I've not inserted a Navi. disc?

Is the car position accurate on the map?

The other choice would be to enter the nav diagnostics menu and do a position reset.

If code 917 doesn't work try 1917. I think mine needed the 4 digit code.
