Well this is it, I finally came up with something that I need your help, yes I freaking need an AUX port so bad, but it must be a DIY, because I do not wanna spend a fortune on a stupid port. If anyone have done this please help me out, I wanna get one of those Flo TVs so bad and I desperately need that port to hook it up so I can watch TV as I drive and if I'm lucky I may meet Jesus one day on my way to work, haha na seriously ofcourse I wont watch and drive but yeah I just want it to kill time when I'm in my car waiting for someone or whatever =)

PS: I dont have on board Nav

PPS: No my sound system is not Alpine.

 

Sadly the only inputs the radio has are the optical and the antenae. So your chouces are:
- FM modulator
- Somthing that cuts the speaker signal - aka most aftermarket blutooth gizmos
- ACM, that is not that bad - around $200

ACM - audio connectivity module. Basically the iPod connection gismo. It plugs in the optical bus. It has ipod, USB and ragular audio input. You can get it from any shop that sels jaguar accesories. There are "accesory fitting instructions" in the "handbook download" sticky.

It is installed in the center console stack.

 

JagMaster, are you sure about the Media Flo? I saw one at target and it could not get a signal at all. It's a good idea, but I'm not sure how reliable the reception would be.

 

Well theres only one way to find out, I 'll buy it and hook it up then we'll see the reception is good or bad

 

did it work well? I should do the same and at least I can watch tv in my french jag....I got the options dvd on my first x350...I could not use it even after reading the manuels...

I have an S-type with non premium and had this idea. Others on the forum may be able to say if this will work, but I don't see why not.

Buy a small speaker input switch. (like this Except you'll need 4x1 in and 4x2 out, although that switch would look cool.)

You may also need a switch to turn on the amp?

Get an aux input cable


Buy a four channel amp


Then wire the amp outputs to your speaker via the switch that also has the factory outputs.

You'd have to control volume etc through the aux unit, but I think it should work?
