What could cause my alarm sys to go off when no one is around? Trunk, doors all secure. Is my XJ trying to tell me something?

 

The most likely candidate is the switch at the LH bonnet latch. The dealer can use IDS/SDD to interrogate the system and check the last alarm data to confirm what the last five or six points that tripped the alarm were.
