I have an 05 STR quartz, and just bought a 2004 XJR quartz. Picking it up friday, one problem the xjr has 200k on it. What would be some specific things to look for that may indicate major problems in a high mileage xjr

 

Air suspension. Has it been serviced? When? Air overs. How old.

 

With a 200k miler, all the things we know about should already have been replaced, like suspension parts. The power train will still be OK but is probably burning a bit of oil now.

Do you know what recent work has been done ? The air springs might be at the end of their life, but if they keep the car up in the air, leave alone until they don't !

 

Have the air bags ever gone over 200k?

 

how do I check for air bags working right , and how much are they to replace?

 

you probably want to change all the major fluids, tranny, supercharger after you check the suspension items. My 2004 XJR had the valve cover gaskets replaced bythe prior owner

 

Is this the one off of ebay? If so, looked like a good price for it.
