Default New Battery help

hello all, in my never-ending battle to get my car back together (see " so this is what happened"), i was told i need a new nav unit and battery. nav unit may be covered under the insurance due to accident, but battery not. dealership quoted $275 for battery which they have in stock. my question is, is that the only battery available or can another be used? i was thinking of an interstate battery which i would put in myself. but is there going to be a problem if i interrupt power to car while changing out battery? does it need external power in mean time. i'm thinking of the air suspension deciding to quit on me in the meantime and then have to go to dearlership and pay to have it reprogrammed. any advise would be greatly appreciated.
thank you in advance, wm

The Jag dealers here use interstate. But go to an Interstate location for half the price and they will use a data saver so no resets will be needed.

Thankyou, jahummer, I was afraid that it would be more complicated than simply yanking the battery, get new one, slap it in and you're done. I'll remember to ask if they have that data saver. There's an authorized dealer nearby where I've gotten that brand for my old 83 xj6.
Thank you again, william

Jahummer, I called the interstate shop where I've bought before. He doesn't have one and has to order it because it's not something he stocks. He does use the setting saver....but the kicker of the whole deal is this...price difference is only $50 - 60!!! I expected a lot more knowing how dealer tends to gouge and mark up prices...but I guess not!
I did talk to the service rep at dealership, mentioned that if I have hard to start issues at times, and battery is at fault, cranking would get weaker and weaker by trying to get motor to fire up. He was thinking techs might need to look for something else. What do you think? Bigger hole to fill or poss something else (coil?) at least he was honest in telling me battery might not be only issue, especially with an easy $300 to be made!!

The interstate dealer can diagnose your existing battery and charging system I think for less than $20.00. Dealer tried to sell me a new battery and interstate dealer diagnosed and told me my battery was better than the one in his new pickup.

How old is the battery? They only last 2-5 years.

Dealer wanted almost $300, Interstate wanted $150 installed. Tires+ had a special for $110. Interstate did a free diagnostics however the dealer has the right equipment for a proper analysis and the fee should have been included with the repairs they have already performed.
