Car arrived today from Virginia. Car is flat out all corners. I am VERY familiar with the Lincoln Mark VIII ar system but this I never messed with. He had Jag replace ONE drivers side rear bag and that's is, that was in 2011. Last Month He said he opened the garage to a flat jag? So there has to be a rule of thumb as to where to start, any help would be greatly appreciated
, thanks in advance.

There's an extensive thread on air suspension and air suspension problems' it's the first (top) thread in the 'stickies' section which is above the ordinary threads.
Just got it delivered. I can hear the pump, something venting and hissing. Will not come up. Can hear poss. leak, can't get hood open to inspect think the latch might be beat.
Awesome thanks for that tip. Also has a CE light (****ing LIAR never said a thing about that) has a P0456, P1111, P0101. WTF, Guy also said rear bumper clear is shot would need to be sprayed, my body Guy said if I prep it he will shoot it for $150. So I expecting to shoot rear bumper and fix air ride and be done, also the ****ING AIR CONDITIONING dont work!! Thats what I get being a dipshit and buying a car 3 states away on a Guys word. All else is real nice though gut is near perfect. I am FURIOUS.
Seller agreed to give me $ back. If anyone wants it before monday Ill sell it for what I have in it $3700. Int is great rest of car is great just dont want to be bothered. I should have kept my 98.
I have read as you asked. I am sorry you've gone off the car. It looks nice enough.
But let me get this straight. You bought sight-unseen, it turns out to have multiple issues you can't be bothered with, and you want to on-sell it for a PROFIT???

Where is the profit? I paid 3k the tow was $300 through Uship.com and the BRAND new battery was 217.00 bought the replacement passenger side marker light that was missing for $50.00 and the jag hood cat (owner said came off in car wash) for $50.00. I did a TON of going through the car, washing, detailing, doagnostics etc. That is $3700.00 in my book all day.
Sure you want to dump the car??? Anytime one buys anything used, there is more likely than not, to be an issue, or three, the present owner cannot, is unable to, will not, or just does not WANT to deal with. They are a fun car, once you sort through their issues, with patience, as well as persistence, the satisfaction feels pretty darn good. Having such a vehicle for so little cash, if you do the work, is why i can play with a car like this.
I know but from what he told me all I was going to have to do was marker light, jag head, air ride and paint the bumper cover and be on my way. It was misrepresented and is for me too much to do. I would like to get what I have into it and move on to one with 0 issues at this point.
The XJR is a **** hot car, it's was also about £75,000 new and you got it for what?, about £2500, That's a lot of car for a little money. And try to remember, it may be a top of the range Jaguar, but this is still a 14 YEAR OLD car.
Suspension?, if you are lucky, it's a split pipe, pennies to fix, if you are unlucky, it's a burst shock, couple of hundred bucks maybe?
Trouble codes?, P1111 I believe is a standard code that just means the system has performed a self check and found some faults, once all other fault codes are gone, this code "should" disappear, P0456 indicates a small air leak in the EVAP system, again could be just a split pipe, or even a blocked breather on the Fuel tank cap. P0101 is to do with the MAF sensor, again not that big a deal.
The worst bit you have is the paint work, but again, you can either live with that, or spend some money getting it fixed,
Mine is an 06, with 130,000 mile son it, and I paid almost £6750 for it a year ago, I keep a note of every penny I spend on my cars, and to date, I have spent around another £1000
Faults have been :-
Air con regas, £50 got it re-gassed the day I got it home, also changed out the cabin filter, this is something all Air Con systems will need at some point
Broken dash vents £30 , replaced about a week after I got it, second hand units
PCV Valve £40 changed as a matter of course as they do go off
Bank 1 Upstream O2 Sensor, £90 ( had a fault code that kept coming up, tracked it to this, been fine ever since )
Left rear ABS Sensor £40 this fault popped up about 6 months ago, took 5 minutes to replace the sensor
Front left parking sensor £15 took maybe 15 minutes to replace
Rear brake discs, pads and Left rear Caliper ( was sticking) £200 an hours work.
Ad-ons to make the car nicer
Jaguar "R" front wing badges, £30
Clear repeater lamps and a full set of mud flaps £137 ( to be fair I still haven't actually fitted the mud flaps yet )
A full set of chromed Toyota Wheel nuts £40 ( I don't like the Jaguar ones with the chrome cover, they tend to separate)
Other running cost for the year
2x front tyres, Falken Anesis FK510 225/35/20, £330, last month, plenty tread left on the old ones, right front failed the MOT for a bulge in the side wall, so changed them both.
Still working on the newest problem, intermittent code flashes up with a cooling fan fault, but I think it may be a battery problem, as occassionally other electrical gremlins pop up too, just have literally not had the time to get to it, but have a foxwell battery tester coming today, If the battery is bad, I will change that and see if the fan fault code reappears.
