Overhead console garage door HomeLink inoperative switch
I am catching up on the nuances of my recent acqusition. In trying to reprogram my garage door opener HomeLink capability to its new home, I discovered that the overhead console switches are defective. Push button #1 has partially fallen out, so I searched on the internet for a replacement switch module. There is a complete cloth covered panel available but do I need the entire panel just to obtain the small 3 push button panel. My present panel is a wood covered unit and I'd prefer keeping it, if I can just transfer the small switch panel to it. Is the switch permanently integrated with the offered console panel and not transferrable?

In my car wood trim on roof console is just a trim I can remove it with no switches or lamps connected. As a matter of fact it was held in place just with doublesided tape on inner side. One morning I found it just laying on front seat.
So, I would think you would be able to replace panel while keeping wood trim. Just make sure the vizible plastick is matchin color of the rest interior.
Good luck
