I am trying to install the mic for the bluetooth factory kit. It requires removing the overhead console to plug the mic in. I have the factory instructions which says to remove the screw over the sunglass holder (which I have), but there are 'clips' holding it in. I pulled on the trim and the right side clips broke free but the front and left clips will not give and I don't want to force it. Is there a technique to getting this off? Please help.

Pull down the side close to the windshield first. Then pull forward (towards the windshield) and it will come off.

 

I tried that and it just does not want to budge and I don't want to break it. The instructions show a "fork" looking special tool, but I am not sure that I really need it, but maybe I do since it wont budge.
