You can find details of DIY ways using google / Search / etc. Probably youtube as well.

Scotty Kilmer has a video showing you how to use a cigar to smoke your motor.

Search the forums for "Valley hose replacement" or "supercharger removal". Ther are posts with step by step and hints on the forum. This and the JTIS will get you thru it. But that job is not for the light hearted, but doable. There's just a lot that has to come off. Not real physical, but tedious. Read up about the tips others have, like cleaning the sc chargers/ports.

Just a quick comment on smoke testing systems with a cigar. Smoke machines generate significantly more smoke than you are likely to be able to generate with a cigar, and they generate a slight positive pressure of around 1 - 3 psi, which may be difficult to create throughout the entire system using lung power alone. Using a cigar may find large leaks, but may not find smaller leaks that don't flow air except under pressure.

If you have an air compressor, you can make your own effective smoke machine for around $20. Search YouTube and google for various design options.

Cheers,

Don
