P0455, p0171, p0174 resolved
Hi All,
I have been getting codes P0455 Evap Leak, P0171 and P0174, lean Bank 1 and 2 since the summer. Reset codes and it comes back shortly after.
First was just the lean codes and lately the Evap leak. With an intermittent "restricted performance" Usually after coming off the highway.
Finally did a smoke test using this. Ha!
Found the leak at the "canister purge valve" under the front left fender. You know the one that ticks in the cold weather. The brilliant Jaguar fix for the loud purge valve was/is to wrap it with insulation so you don't hear it. Well, after a few years the thing rusted apart from the trapped moisture.
got the new one in last weekend and no issues with the lean codes anymore....
