Paint Code: XJR Wheels ('07 19" 5 Spoke)
OK:
Here's a litmus test of the knowledge on this forum....
What is the paint code for the silver two stage used on the OEM 19" 5 spoke 2007 XJR wheels?
(Local dealer doesn't know; Jag NA doesn't know)
Tks!

I can give you a head start but this may NOT be correct.
C2A1237 Silver Sparkle Wheel Paint.
This is a genuine used paint code for silver alloy wheels by Jaguar for X350 models and quite a few others.
Good luck but do not hold me responsible if wrong colour.
I do not see jaguar using a different colour for your Silver Sparkle 5 spoke wheel but I MIGHT BE WRONG
This is on this forum already so this might also be correct
Dupli Color BGM0508 Ultra Silver Met (95 WA8867, 96 WA8867) Replaces T191

Appreciate the note...
Had my paint supplier mix a quart kit of "Jag Racing Green" two stage (to reshoot the bumper covers and grille). Was hoping to buy a similar kit for the wheels
His "silver" paint chips book is 4" thick. I will try the jag color code you provided and see if the resulting chip matches. I will post results here
All my wheels are lightly curbed. I will touch up (skim filler and then airbrush). Will fully reshoot the wheels when the tires are worn out (~10 K miles).
Need to have a slight inner lip bend straightened in one wheel as well (plus the spare is bent). Anyone done this with the XJR wheels? Assume they are cast (and therefore will require heating to straighten)?

You need to be aware that your local parts man is not very interested in his job. Not only did my jag dealers know the part no. but they reached under the counter and handed me a small kit with the paint and clear coat. I'm just saying------
My (local) dealer wasn't aware of it when I called
Tks!
Hisport,
Sorry. I no longer have the car, kit or records. However, the Dupli-Color product referenced in the last post works quite nicely.

I just searched for Jaguar alloy wheel silver on Ebay and found several listed in the UK, the one I chose is a good match with the "sparkle" bits in it.
I found you could match the finish better by "stippling" the paint rather than brushing it, when brushing it the sparkle bits were dragged along with the brush.

So, I found the DupliColor rattle can paint noted in this thread at the nearest FLAPS; ~$8.
It is branded as a GM touch up paint. I'll report whether it is close enough to use as touch up paint on OE XJR wheels
Just FYI, I will definitely refinish the wheels with good quality two stage auto urethane as soon as the tires wear out. Rattle can paint is short lived....
