My wife said she activated the panic alarm accidently and couldn't turn it off, and someone came and pushed "the little button with the cats face" and it went off. I tried to tell her that is just a mechanical release for the key and not a "button", but she was sure it made the alarm go off.

I went out and set the panic alarm with three pushes of the light button and tried all the actual buttons on the fob and the key in the driver's door to no avail, but the alarm went off after a minute or two. I've since read that the key in the ignition turned to position 2 is the only way to turn it off.

So here's the question. How long does the panic alarm go? Is the period adjustable?
