At last some pictures on a dry day from rural Cheshire, England. I have put a rear photo in so you can see I have polished the exhaust trims - first time in 7 years, I reckon. Last pic is of our three cars, (Rove is up for sale). You can just about see the pink side transfers on wife's New Beetle. It has more flowers inside than a flower shop !
I gave it a bit of a revving on the local bypass, and it certainly does move, but without the howl the Rover makes, (that car must have been a powerful motorcycle when it was younger !).
So nice to be back in a Jaguar. I had my last one 14 years. If I can find a pic I will scan it in, I have one somewhere. It's an XJ6 Series 3.

Hi Stevetech
Pics of engine bay will soon come. I have to say the engine bays of the modern Jaguars are not a patch on the old ones with the polished cam covers, and shiny vitreous enamel exhaust manifolds. Having said that the V12 engine bay was a plumber's nightmare, with the engine underneath the wire and piping somewhere !

Here are engine bay and interior pics. I spent this weekend cleaning the leather seats. Anybody know what the official colour is ? It's a very light ivory-like colour

Happy to oblige, Stevetech. Engine bay had been cleaned by the dealers.
I tried the performance out a bit today on the bypass. All I can say is, who needs the 4.2 litre !! Car weighs almost the same as my Rover 75, (now sold) but has another 500cc engine capacity.

Fraser,
Today, in my local grocery store park, I saw a Jaguar Racing Green XJR in an X350. I have to say, that (your) colour is simply striking. Pictures just do not do justice!

Fraser - I have an 04XJ8 with the same color scheme; did you change the color of the grill and trim around the tail lights or did the car come that way? And where is the Jag on the hood? It looks great!

Hi Carmat731
Car is a "Sport" so comes without a chrome grill or rear light plinth. Unfortunately the nannies (aka idiots) that run this once-great country of ours decided many years ago that mascots were DANGEROUS TO PEDESTRIANS !! Never mind the car hitting them, or even 44-tonne trucks !! So the regulations were written so that any mascot has to be completely harmless. Rolls-Royce redesigned their Flying Lady so if it is hit it disappears into the radiator grill in about 1/10th of a second, so its OK. Trouble is this is a £200,000 car, so can stand the cost of the mascot, but Jaguars are a bit more downmarket, so I suppose it is in the "too difficult" basket. Mind you a lot of people here in England have bought the US leapers on the internet and fitted them to their cars. So far not many people get thumped for having them on the car, I think the cops are too busy catching speeders, it makes more money !

I like the look of the dark color grille and the upgraded rims. I can definitely see a more sporty appearance. I believe the only factory XJs here in the US that have the sport wheels and trim is the XJR. Definitely an improvement over the standard model. My XJ8 is getting some minor body work done because I was hit from the rear. I'll try to post a picture after I get it back from the shop. Same BR Green with different trim.

Yes - it's my favourite colour too! Just so happens to be on my VDP! Nice pics Fraser! I used to live in Cheshire in the dim and distant past - Disley to be exact. Nice part of the world.
