Why can't I find performance camshafts for my 05 XJR? Do they exist? Where can I get them? Any help would be appreciated. I may have to remove mine to replace the lifters/buckets (whatever they're called) and I don't like reusing stock parts if I can avoid it. If it needs removed, it needs replaced with something faster. I'm doing the supercharger now too. It would be a wicked good time to do them all together (cams and SC upgrade).

I also tried to get camshafts I did track down a company in the UK that make new billets for the AJ16 engines but no one was able to grind them to specs that suited my car so I gave up
Don't get re-machined ones where they regrind the old blanks they don't work tried that with my Mercedes 450SL V8 I had many years ago
couple of the cam lobes wore off and pretty quickly I might add

 

Avos had the cams in his 4.2 reground by a Belgian camshaft specialist, that's the engine that did 630HP...you'd have to ask him for more details though...
