I never found a situation where I thought that would be useful. And the day I leaned on the key when it was in my pocket at work and then went out 2 hours later after it had been raining and found all my windows down and the sunroof open is the day I disabled it.

Yeah, my remote opens everything with the unlock, doesn't close anything. Key in the door does both, but you have to hold it until the windows are opened or closed, no auto- with the key. My understanding from the owner's manual is that this is all correct.
