Default Problems...

Just had the boot lid re-sprayed on the dearest car, it had sun damage (yes, in England!) and the lacquer was going and as that was the very last body blemish... Anyway, it came home yesterday and while the boot lid looks great there was overspray all down the driver's side which annoyed me and took flaming hours to polish off. Not worth getting mad about though.
But, the airbag light started flashing and then went solid and I had another fault where it said that 'cruise control inoperative' the cruise error went away but the airbag light comes back every time I get over 30mph. I used my code reader (JLR specific) and it says the 'SAS' has a fault which I take as a steering angle sensor fault. Is this the clock spring going/gone faulty?

Make sure your battery is fully charged to 12.2 - 12.6 volts. I had my car laid up for a while to do a swap to the Arnott spring and shocks. Had same cruise message at restart. Drove car to get battery fully charged. When restarted all messages were cleared. Your car has been sitting in a body shop for awile.
