Default Purge valve

Where is the purge valve and canister located? I have a P0456 that comes and goes. The last time the CEL went out all by itself and stayed out for about 3 months untill I had to disconnect the battery and it came back on 3 days later with the P0456 code. While the CEL is out the OBDII reads MIL-OFF, No codes, EVAP not ready.

According to the manual, the first possible causes of P0456 to check are a loose fuel filler cap or defective fuel cap seal:
