Default Question about wiping speed.

Hey folks, hope you're all doing well.

So I was cleaning my dad's car up and I thought I would engage the wiper to see how the wiper blade holds up, and I don't know if it's just me but notice that the wiping speed feels slower than before weirdly enough...

And yea, I have attached a vid if anyone want to see the wiper's speed, and hopefully you guys can help me out with this (kinda afraid of the electronic related parts).

Thank you and have a great day.

Yea, I did try some fluid after the vid, but it only help reducing the sound a bit (will see when I get the blade replaced, and damm, after 16 years, those rubber really do hold up well while being storage in it's previous home).

And uhh, I have a question: Do you replace the blade with the refills or do you replace the entire assembly with the "bone-less" one (The wiper blade without the metal frame, you know, the wipers that most car uses today haha)?

I can assist with the plot of your horror movie. Many years ago I was slack on maintenance. (Not a Jag) eventually the wipers scored into the windscreen. I took this to be an Early Warning System. Well, a Warning System. I thought the screeching sounds were just voices in my head...

As for replacement blades, there's a thread on the first page

Lol thanks for the story haha.
As for the wiper, the refill option seems easier but it's out of stock (only 24 inch blade is in stock), so I had to say goodbye to the OEM wipers and went with a pair of Bosch AR 608 S, and yea, now it's time for the waiting game to roll by...

I may have to buy some clay bar (to prep) and Rain-X (to make the water sliiiiideeeee) to replace the wiper for my dad in the meanwhile...
