Hi Guys,

I have a 05 xjr with green caps on oem 19" wheels but some cars I seen have red and others black.
Does the colour mean anything? which is correct ?

also silly question but are the valve stems suppose to have chrome covers/caps from oem?

I think you would have to have a factory brochure to see what came with the car originally. I believe most have been replaced based on the tastes of the owner. I have several styles and colors in my cache and put on whatever suits me at the time, or when they eventually fade. Same for the valve stems and caps. Most tire shops install the chrome when you get new tires. I replace the caps with green N2 caps because I run nitrogen in my tires.
Just run what you enjoy. A bit of personalization if you like.

 

I put green ones in my Jinxye. The car came with black caps from factory, were all missing when I rescued it. The steering wheel logo is green, the trunk button is black, so my OCD had a hard time deciding. But green caps and Zircon paint looks good to me... anyhow, they are starting to fade (OEM) after less than two years and 7k miles. The car is always garaged. I think XJR were all red.
