Hi Fellas,
I am getting ready to rebuild the pistons lining in my compressor, I wonder though if I need the car to be raised front and back? I figured if I loosen the air pipe to the compressor, wouldn't that deflate all the bags? my plan was to get the rear up the ramp and raise the front.
Thank you

Put the front end up on jack stands, was the way i did mine.
Not a that bad job, pay attention, take your time.
Now is the time to replace the front shocks, if leaking.
As well as any other front end suspension parts needed.

Might be of help?
Like Wingrider, I did mine with just the front on stands and fuse 52 (Air Suspension) removed from the rear fuse box. Took the fuse out first and replaced it last, once she was back down on her wheels - No problems whatsoever!
(Warning: If following the Workshop Manual ignore the 20 Nm torque setting for the three nuts securing your Compressor and its Support Brace to Car body - Just nip them up)

Pictures are always an asset the first time a job is to be done.
As well as if it's been a while since the last time.
Youtube often shows you videos of how others did the job as well.
