Radio code entry?
A friend has a 1987 low mile (40K) XJ6 VDP with all the original paperwork including the radio code card, but after replacing the battery he can not get the radio to work again. Is there any special trick to entering the code? He says he has tried entering the code from the card several times, but the radio still won’t come back and the Jaguar dealers he’s asked have no interest in one “that old”.
A 1987 U.S. model VDP could be a very late Series III of the original XJ shape, as mentioned above, but could also be a very early XJ40.
The best way is to post a picture of the car in question. The two models have almost nothing in common apart from the name.
