Default rear brake calipers - same twist directions?

Hey guys - doing the rear brakes now - right one done and it uses the RH direction tool to twist and push the caliper.

Having a tough time getting the bracket off, so will be some time before i can get to the left one - so may as well ask whether both sides are the same, or whether the left side uses the LH threaded tool. it would make sense, but then it is a universal kit, so it may just be those are there for different models.

just looking for a quick answer here from someone who has done it and knows the answer... if not no biggie, i'll find out soon enough when i can that stupid bolt out (changing rotors too...)

thanks!

got the top caliper holder bolt off - physics for the win! took a long steel pole and braced it between the upper A-arm and the wrench and used the leverage to break the bolt...

now let's see if i can guess right the first time on the caliper retract tool! 50/50 shot!

Pretty sure it's clockwise. This is a good read but doesn't specify.

Yup you are correct, so they both use the RH thread one. Yeah that was a good read, that was the thread that alerted me to the fact this was even a thing - otherwise i'd still be out there trying to press them in with a c-clamp :-P

Anyway, all done - thanks!

now to tackle that pesky check engine light... got my new scanner in the mail today, off to the other thread!
